As the end of the year approaches, the activities come to a stop. The Lionettes and dance department end the season with the annual Lionette Spring Show. There is dance, talent, and emotion. This year’s theme is Dancing Through The Decades so, let’s jump back in time, and visit their spring show!
The Lionette Spring Show can be very exciting for some people. Eighth grade dancer Grace Gholson said, “I am excited to perform in front of all my friends and family.” All the dancers are so excited to perform and show how hard they have been working all year.
Dance has a variety of meanings and styles, so what should viewers expect to see? Seventh grade Lionette Michaela Stokes said, “Viewers should expect well put together dances with facial expressions, energy and fun choreography!” Just expect to have lots of fun watching the amazing dancers perform.
There are so many amazing dances and dancers. Be excited for Ms. Beall’s 7th period, dance class 2.0, filled with skills and energy. Their 20’s decade dance is one of the most anticipated dance class dance of the night!
There is a lot of time and dedication when preparing for the show. Every group has their ups and downs, but it’s the end result that matters. Seventh grade dancer Nevaeh Johnson said, “The hardest part was communicating with everyone, since everyone had different opinions.” Highs and lows are normal for every group, but we know the dance department can pull through!
Spring show will be the last performance for the 23-24 Lionettes. As the 8th graders leave, it can get really emotional. Eighth grade Lionette captain Emma Shauan said, “It is emotional because it is the last time I will be with my team.” Beware! At the end of the show, you might see tears.
Spring show is an amazing show with dance and fun. If you go you will have an amazing time! Dance I don’t know about you but, I know I’m going to the Lionette Spring Show!
