6th Grade: Next week students will begin their independent reading during the first 10 minutes of class. Students will analyze nonfiction text to determine the thesis and find supporting textual evidence. We will also focus on how graphic features contributes the author’s purpose and message.
7th Grade: Next week students will review misconceptions from Summative 1, and explore connections between passages related to the unit of “Truth and Credibility”.
8th Grade: Next week students will continue their independent reading as the teacher confers with them during the first 10 minutes of class. Students will review misconceptions from the previous week while continuing to explore who they are and who they would like to be through class discussions about fiction texts.
