- 6th Grade: This week students will continue their independent readings during the first 10 minutes of class. Students will focus on the development of plot, character analysis, flashback, and summary. We will end the week with an open response checkpoint, as summative #2.
- 7th Grade: This week students will compose an extended piece of informational writing as their second summative. Students will be evaluated for grammar as well as clear communication of a central idea and supporting details.
- 8th Grade: This week students will continue their independent reading as the teacher confers with them during the first 10 minutes of class. This week students will take their 2nd summative over fiction and poetry. Students will also dive into nonfiction skills, focusing on text structures and text features.
