- 6th Grade: Monday, students work with computer simulations to discover net force. Tuesday thru Thursday students will learn how to calculate the net force on objects in horizontal or vertical directions. Students will use diagrams to determine if the forces are balanced or unbalanced. Thanks to the parents who are donating supplies to our classroom.
- 7th Grade: Students are continuing to work hard on their Cells projects this week. They will have in-class time to work on their projects until September 13th. Anything not done by that date will be required to be completed at home. Projects are due September 18th and students will also have their Cells Test that day as well. We officially have a revtrak link specifically for dissection supplies! Dissections are always a big hit with our students that we typically do at the end of the first semester. Any donations that have already been given prior will be allocated towards dissections as well. We ask that donations be given by September 22nd to allow enough time to purchase the items and for them to get here in time. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
- 8th Grade: Students can come to tutorials to complete test corrections Mon-Thur. Please see tutorial schedule on syllabus to know which teacher is available on a day that best suits your schedule. We are beginning our journey into the Universe where students will learn how to classify stars on an HR Diagram. They will go through the figurative life cycle of a star, and what stars are made of. We will also explore types of radiation and how the Webb and Hubble telescopes use different types of radiation to give us glimpses of our universe. We want to encourage our parents to join their students Schoology so they can stay updated on assignments and grades. Please reach out to their teacher if you need assistance in this.
