6th Grade: This we’re wrapping up Primary and Secondary sources, and the Five Themes. In order to ensure that students have adequate instruction and preparation the test has been moved from Aug. 25th to Aug. 29th. Our next unit will focus on Interacting with the Physical World.
7th Grade: Texas History students continued learning about the four regions of Texas and began to study the different Native American cultural groups. Students will be comparing and contrasting different characteristics of each group such as types of diet, shelter, and culture/systems. The test over Natural Texas and its People will be on Sept 1.
8th Grade: US History students continued exploring the 13 colonies this week as they practiced demonstrating their understanding of each colonial region of the 13 colonies. Students will take their first test of the year next week on Wednesday, August 30.
