- 6th Grade: This week in World Cultures we will continue to learn what it takes to Think Like a Geographer. Our focus is continents & oceans, landforms, interpreting maps, charts, graphs and analyzing sources for comparison, point of view and other useful skills students need in order to be successful Geographers. As a reminder any student that scored 70 or below on the Geography terminology exam are eligible for reteach and retest after school during tutorials.
- 7th Grade: Texas history students completed the Natural Texas and its People unit. Next week students will begin to learn about European Exploration, with the focus on Spanish explorers and their impact on Texas. The test for this unit will be on September 22.
- 8th Grade: This week, students concluded their first unit of the year over Exploration & Colonization. Test grades will be posted by this weekend. If your student needs a retest, they must first complete all missing work and turn that in to their teacher. They then have the option of attending one tutoring session or completing the Gimkit Retest that will be posted in Schoology. After completing those two steps, they are eligible for a retest. They must make an appointment with their teacher to stay after school to complete this retest for up to a 70. Next week, we will begin our unit over the Causes of the American Revolution. The next test will take place on Friday, September 15.
