- 6th Grade: Our 6th graders will be learning how to convert fractions, decimals, and percentages. It is very important that the students are able to divide a fraction. This will be a GREAT time to go over the simple steps of division with your students. Students will also continue ordering and comparing rational numbers.
- 7th Grade: This week On Level students will work on proportional reasoning. Proportions can be used in many financial decisions, such as to determine the best cost of items you want to purchase, the cost of tax, tip or amount of discount. Advanced students continue solving and writing one‐variable equations with variables on both sides that represent problems using rational number coefficients and constants
- 8th: This week students will take the MAPS growth screener to set a baseline in order to track growth in the coming year. Unit 2 continues this week which will be focusing on Expressions and Solving One and Two-step Equations.
- Algebra: Algebra students begin Unit 2 Graphs of Linear Equations and inequalities.
